wait. what.so frequently, i witness the sunrise.
and at times, i sit, and watch the gradual blend of pink, and orange, and that smooth blue that they fade into, as the clouds give way to the rising sun, which casts a warm smiling glow down on the earth and across the highway outside my window. the sight is like a glimpse of what heaven may look like, only far more wonderous, because it is something even human beings may witness.
occasionally, i will look down at the highway at this time, watching the deserted concrete path well-worn by travellers, empty now in the early hours of the new day, and quietly, i think to myself . . .
holy fuck. i sure hope there wasn't a zombie attack on the city and we were the only people that weren't warned.
and then my playlist unfreezes and my mind finds its way back to the magical land of rainbows and kittens.
