i swear to god i will give you guys something that isn't basically a spam dump soon. i swear. to god.
these are chibis/minis/i kind of prefer calling them minis or tinies on the grounds that chibis sounds kinda dumb/whatever. first one is for buddy mingo, next two are for jay, the three following those are commissions from subeta.
all images and characters belong to their owners, and basically if it wasn't drawn for you don't use it etc. etc. etc.
This is so adorable! I already told you countless times but I'll say it again just to inflate your ego, I absolutely love how you line and color. The lines are so smooth and cute and perfect and detailled just right and asdgh *drools*. And the colors look so nice and calm, just muted enough but not dull. Fffff I love your style.
Also, I had no idea you were good at quad, too! That grey dog looks so- so cuddly <3
The only mistake I notice that you tend to do often is place your characters slighty (or sometimes not so slightly) off balance. I don't know if you can see it yourself, but... imagine if they were like little paper stickers, and had only a small squared flap of paper under the feet to place them standing on a table. The first and second might stand, but the third and fourth would definitely fall over. ... What is with my weird examples x_X Is that at lest understandable? x)
thank you! my ego is currently basking in all your sweet words. my gosh. 8( i do not know how to properly say thank you because you always leave really detailed sweet comments, but . . . but thank you!
and i have actually heard that once or twice before! the third one i was more aiming for a position that felt similar to when i roll on just one foot; not really balanced, but it's just between two movements. it is horribly off balanced though. and the forth one . . . yeah there is no way she could actually stand like that. ): she'd be on her ass! it's something i've noticed i do a lot without realizing on just normal, casual figures too. i'm working on it though!
again thank you. ♥ i need to respond to all comments but i reaaally had to respond to this to thank you twice for the crit as well!
Haha, you're welcome x) I dislike getting two word one smiley comments myself, and I like to know what people think is good or bad in my art, so I try to act consequently when commenting on other people's stuff. I mean, I can't expect people to do an effort with me if I don't with them. Plus it's always nice making someone happy, so there! Win/win x)
Yeah, I saw it on some of your neutral standing poses too, in various degrees. What you could try, at least for simple standing poses, is to draw a straight line through them (on a separate layer, of course), perpendicular to the ground, and see if parts them in two more or less equal halves/finishes between their legs. Usually it's a pretty good indicator.
Ahaha, I'm flattered ^^ Then again, you're very welcome, it was a well desserved praise for sure!
